DJ R-Tistic stopped by Compton High School to drop some serious knowledge on Mr. Jones’ Audio Production class! He led an interactive DJ workshop, sharing insights on the history of DJing, music production, and how to build a sustainable career in the industry. Scholars got a front-row seat to a masterclass in mixing, scratching, and selecting tracks that define different eras and styles of hip-hop.

Sixteen students from Compton Early College High School and Compton High School participated in Microsoft’s Minority Student Day, in partnership with the Black Student Achievement Department. Designed to expose students to cutting-edge AI technology, the program highlighted its impact across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and gaming.

Meet Tyjahnae Hodge, Compton High School Class of 2024 graduate. She is planning on going to Woodbury University in Burbank in the fall and majoring in Animation.
